What changed with Filters? They won’t work anymore. Specifically, the ‘skip the inbox’ option doesn’t appear to work. – Google Product Forums

But, I just remembered another setting that may be in play. Go to the Inbox settings in Gmail, and look at the bottom setting. It might be set to keep “important” messages in the Inbox. You can change it there.

August 24, 2014

Make a file available offline

You must be connected to the Internet in order to turn on offline access for a file.

There are two ways you can make a file available offline in the Drive, Docs, Sheets, and Slides apps:

Touch the grey i button next to the file (within a file or in the file list) and switch the setting from Off to On next to “Available on this device” in the details panel
Touch and hold the name of an item for 1-2 seconds. Then, touch Keep on device in the menu that appears.

All offline files can be found in the “On device” section of the left-hand navigation panel in the app.
